No one wants to talk about death, but it is the only guaranteed event in life and each and every person you work with and employ will be affected.
Partner with me to transform how your team or organisation approaches death, dying and bereavement. Ensuring dignity, understanding and empathy for those living with a terminal illness, those at the end of their life and support for those who care for them.

If you employ humans, this is relevant to all businesses and industries.
Why should you invest in your business in this way?

Improves Employee Well-being: Death and grief are universal experiences, yet many people feel unsupported in the workplace during times of loss. Providing death literacy can equip employees and managers with the tools to navigate these situations compassionately and effectively.
Boosts Productivity and Retention: When employees feel understood and supported, especially during difficult times, they’re more likely to remain engaged and loyal to the organisation. Ignoring grief or related issues can lead to burnout, absenteeism, and turnover.
Fosters an Inclusive Culture: Death literacy promotes empathy, understanding, and open communication. It aligns with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives by recognising and respecting different cultural and individual experiences around death and dying.
Prepares Leaders for Difficult Conversations: Managers often feel unprepared to support grieving employees or address sensitive topics. My training, education and consultancy can give them the confidence and skills to handle these situations with care and professionalism.
Reputation as a Caring Employer: Organisations that address real-life issues like death and grief build stronger connections with their workforce and community, enhancing their reputation as compassionate, forward-thinking employers.
Supports Mental Health Initiatives: Death literacy complements mental health programs by addressing a source of stress and anxiety that’s often overlooked.
Future-Proofs the Workplace: With an ageing population and increased awareness of end-of-life planning, companies that embrace death literacy now will be better equipped to handle related challenges in the future.

Let me help you create an environment where death and grief are approached with
dignity, respect, compassion and understanding.

What is death literacy and why is it so important?
Death literacy is the practical knowledge, skills, and understanding people have about death, dying, and bereavement. It goes beyond academic or theoretical knowledge and involves the ability to engage with and navigate the social, emotional, cultural, legal, and practical aspects of end-of-life and loss.

Death literacy empowers individuals and communities to approach death with more confidence, clarity, and compassion, reducing fear and stigma around this inevitable part of life. It’s about creating a society where death and loss are recognized as natural, and where people are supported to make informed choices and engage meaningfully in end-of-life matters
